Products |
How to Search for Products |
We have made it easy to search for products by Category or Country by using any of the following methods:
1. In the left side navigation bar on most pages, click on a category such as, Home Décor. It will take you to all sub categories such as Bowls, Baskets, etc. Select your sub category, for example, Bowls and View All. You will see all Bowls from all Countries.
2. In the left corner of the header on most pages, you can select a Product Category and Country, then click "Go". This will take you directly to, for example, all Bowls from Indonesia.
3. Below the top main photo on each page, you will see each country name. Click on one of the countries and it will take you to all Products from that Country.
4. On the Home page, click on one of the "Featured Categories" and it will take you to, for example, all Purses.
5. Also, at the bottom of most pages, you can click on specific Product Categories.

Viewing a Product |
Since seeing is believing. Exotic World Gifts, Inc. has a unique way for you to view the details of each product. By using our Magnifying Glass, you can place it over any part of the product image and see the fine Artisan details. Its almost like being able to touch the piece.
In addition, you can click on 2 other views of the product to see other important parts of the product. We want you to have as close to a hands-on experience as possible. |

Orders |
How to Place an Order |
Placing an order with Exotic World Gifts, Inc. is easy. You do not need to create an account first. You automatically set up an account when you place your first order online. NOTE: We only accept orders online.
1. Once you find a product/s that you want to purchase, type in the Quantity you would like, then click "Add to Cart". You can check your Cart anytime by clicking on "Cart" at the top of the page. If you would like to remove a product from your Cart, click Delete.
2. To change the quantity, type in the new amount and click, "Update Quantity". You will now see the available quantity and new subtotal.
3. Once you are finished shopping, click on "Proceed to Checkout" to complete your order.

Order Status |
| 1. We will send you a confirming e-mail with the status of your order.
2. If you placed an order more than 10 days ago, and have questions, click on "My Account" and all Order Statuses will appear.

Out of Stock |
| 1. Since each item is individually handcrafted from remote locations, we may experience some delays in receiving products. Based upon information we receive from the Artisan/s, we will notify you with an estimated ship time via e-mail.
2. If you are not interested in keeping that item on order, but would like to be notified when it is in stock, please click on "Contact Us" and provide your E-mail Address, Item Number and Name. You will be notified by e-mail when it's available to order.

Modfying or Cancelling an Order |
| 1. If your order has not yet shipped, please click on “Contact Us” and we will try to accommodate your change or ancellation. Generally, orders are processed immediately so it is difficult to modify your order.
2. Orders can not be canceled or modified once shipped. Once received, you may follow the “Returns Policy” procedure. |

Forms of Payment |
1. Exotic World Gifts accepts payment through Visa, MasterCard, Pay Pal online, and Cashier Checks and Money Orders via mail. Credit Cards will only be charged after the order has been shipped. All Credit Card orders must be a minimum of $20.00 before shipping.
2. Cashier Checks and Money Orders can be received by mail. If paying by a Cashier Check or Money Order, place your order online first. You will be given the payment address at the end of Checkout. Make checks payable to “Exotic World Gifts, Inc.”. Once your payment is received, the order will be processed within 24 – 48 hours.
3. If after reading the Credit Card Security information, you are uneasy about placing your order online, please click on “Contact Us” with any questions. |

| Your Credit Card Security is of the highest importance and we want you to feel comfortable using this payment method. We utilize the leading provider of digital trust services, *Verisign. They have been securely processing credit cards since 1995 for over 60,000 online merchants.

In the extremely unlikely circumstance that shopping at Exotic World Gifts, Inc. leads to an unauthorized use of your credit card, most financial institutions either cover all of the resultant charges or limit your liability to $50 (refer to Fair Credit Billing Act or your credit card agreement for details). Should the bank not cover this additional $50 liability, Exotic World Gifts, Inc. will cover it, provided the unauthorized use of your credit card is from an error on Exotic World Gifts part as a result of purchases made on Exotic World Gifts through the secure server, and through no fault of your own. Credit Card Refunds |
| If you purchased by credit card, it will be credited for the full applicable amount within 15 business days of receipt of the returned merchandise. If paid by Money Order, you will receive a check from Exotic World Gifts for the full applicable amount of the return by mail in approximately 2 – 4 weeks after the return is received at the Exotic World Gifts Customer Care Center. If you are interested in exchanging a product for another, you will need to return the unwanted item and submit a completely new order online. |

Delivery Times |
1. US Shipping standard delivery is 5 – 10 business days.
2. If you need faster shipping, you will see a list of available shipping options at Checkout.
NOTE: The shipping time may vary based on your location and/or availability of the product. Each item is handcrafted and some items require a longer creation time than others. These unique products are not mass produced and stored in warehouses. We rely on our World Artisans to produce to our order requests and ask for your patience if there is a delay. You will be receiving a truly one-of-a-kind Artisan piece. If there is going to be a delay with your order, we will e-mail you with the expected delivery date. |
Shipping Methods |
1. We use UPS to deliver most packages and are unable to deliver to PO Boxes and APO/FPO addresses. Please be sure to provide a street address for all orders.
2. Most orders will ship out from our Customer Care Center within 24 – 48 hours of in stock items. Arrival time depends upon the shipping option you choose.
3. Once you’ve placed your order, you’ll see both shipping and delivery date estimates in the order confirmation e-mail and in the “My Account” order summary. |
Address Errors |
We appreciate your help in making sure we have the correct shipping address. The re-routing, forwarding and re-delivery of your package adds significant costs.
Please notify us immediately by clicking on “Contact Us” if a delivery address does change (the goal is to change it before the item ships). Minimizing Address Errors will assist us in maximizing our efforts to assist Artisans and their villages. Putting the money where it really makes a difference.

| Your satisfaction is very important to us and the Artisans. We strive to only deliver high quality unique pieces - sharing their world with yours. We take great pride in hand selecting and inspecting products to ensure quality standards. Since each item is handcrafted, there are slight variations with each piece which makes your item truly
one-of-a-kind. If you need to return an item, please follow the instructions below. |
Return Instructions |
1. Full refunds will be available for up to 30 days from the day you receive your order. You must request a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number by e-mail during this 30-day period to qualify for the refund. If the return is not an error of Exotic World Gifts, you will be responsible for all shipping costs. A $10.00 or up to 10% restocking fee will be added depending upon the item.
2. Click on “Contact Us” and request a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Include your Order Number (as appears on the Invoice), Product Name and Number, Your Name, E-mail Address, and the Return Reason (Please provide as much detail as possible so we can provide the best customer support). You will promptly receive the RMA number and any special Return Instructions.
3. With the returned merchandise, include your RMA Number, Name, E-mail and Mailing Addresses, a copy of the original Exotic World Gifts Invoice. Please use a trackable shipping service (UPS, FedEx, or Registered Mail). It is highly recommended that you insure the shipment, as you will be responsible for ensuring that all items arrive at the Customer Service Center in their original condition.
IMPORTANT: Refunds will not be given if the returned product/s have been damaged or altered in any way before arriving at the Customer Service Center.
4. Once the return has been received at the Customer Service Center, your payment method will be credited within 3 weeks. If you would like to order another item in place of the returned product, you will need to submit a completely new order online.
5. If the return is from the result of Exotic World Gifts error, we will send you a prepaid mailing label for the return. Each return mailing label is coded for a specific shipment. Please do not include items from other orders or other shipments from the same order in the same box. You may not receive a correct refund. |
Gift Return Instructions |
| If you would like to return a gift from Exotic World Gifts, Inc., you need to request a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number during the 30-day period following receipt of the order via “Contact Us”. Once the return is received, you will be issued an Exotic World Gifts Gift Certificate for the full amount of the original order, less shipping charges. The person who sent you the gift will not be notified of the return. |
Promotion Codes on Returned Orders |
1. If you have used a promotion code on an order and later decide to return a part or all of the order as a result of an error by Exotic World Gifts, Inc., we will issue you a new promotion code for a future online purchase.
2. If the return was not a result of an error by Exotic World Gifts, Inc., you will be unable to re-use the original promotion code.

Non-Received Orders |
1. Indicate the correct mailing address when filling out the order form. Exotic World Gifts, Inc. is not responsible for items that have not been received due to an incorrect or changed address.
2. If you would like to check the status of your order, please click on “My Account” then on “Track Orders”. If the order has been shipped and you need further information, the carrier contact information is listed at the bottom of the page.
3. If your order has not shipped yet, click on “Contact Us” and include your Order Number, E-mail and Mailing Address. We will e-mail your order status. |
Incorrect/Damaged Products |
1. If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please click on “Contact Us” within 3 days of receipt of shipment to report the incident. Provide your Name, Order Number, E-mail Address, and describe the incorrect or damaged product/s (provide as much detail as possible).
2. If you receive an incorrect product, the correct product will be sent to you at no additional charge or a full refund, including shipping costs, will be issued upon receipt of the original order.
3. We will replace any damaged items, providing a comparable replacement is available, or give you a full refund including shipping costs will be issued upon receipt of the original order. |
Incomplete Orders |
1. Products missing from your order will be shipped as soon as possible at no additional charge to you.
2. To find out the status of items on back order, click on “My Account” and then on “Orders”.

Refused and Unclaimed Shipments |
1. A $15 fee (per package) will be assessed for all refused shipments.
2. The customer will be responsible for any return shipping charges assessed by the carrier. Shipping costs are not refundable on refused or unclaimed shipments.
3. A $15 fee (per package) will be assessed for all shipments re-routed or returned to Exotic World Gifts by the carrier. This fee is separate from the re-shipping fee, which is required before packages can be re-shipped. |
Important Restrictions |
1. If the returned products have been damaged or altered in any way before arriving at Exotic World Gifts Customer Service Center, a refund will not be issued.
2. Use the original packaging when returning an item to ensure that it arrives in the same condition it was in when received.
3. No refunds or returns for custom orders.
4. Exotic World Gifts, Inc. reserves the right to deny a refund to anyone who has made, what we determine, to be excessive returns. |
